The candidate will work closely with other operations personnel and be responsible for the day-to-day handling of the company’s accounts, cash flow, investments and financials.  We’re an energetic company and we are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization and bring strategic value to our finance team. The candidate will provide accounting support including preparing accounts, statements, and payments, and will provide corporate finance support by leading treasury strategy, investment raises, and financial forecasting and valuations. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Finance Department and help the company grow its financial strength, controls, and prowess in order to ensure long term financial health and success. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure Accounts are up to date and billings are correct
  • Processing Payment Vouchers
  • Preparing of Management Accounts and making recommendations on where to minimize and maximize revenues
  • Monitor Budget Performance and Prepare Variance Analysis
  • Prompt approval for daily payments raised
  • Upload payments on the Accounts Software
  • Daily confirmation of Bank balances, Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statement, confirming deposit with bank and date of expiration

Proposed Roles & Responsibilities

Construction Director

The following briefly summarizes “proposed” roles and responsibilities with respect to an engagement with Brookstone Property.

 

Title: Construction Director: this title and related responsibilities would formalize a senior resource for future real estate development in association with other Brookstone professionals and assist the team with end-to-end transaction and best practices for international transaction support, knowledge and experience. Some of the formal responsibilities would likely include, but not necessarily limited to, the following:

 

Construction, Pre-Construction, Early Stage Project Feasibility & Analytics:

 

  • Overall project construction, project management, technical and logistical leadership management.
  • Project value-engineering, optimization, efficiencies, site management and inspections.
  • Management of future project concept budgets, BOQs, project structural design, architectural design inputs/optimization and new technologies, project schedules, quality control, permitting, international code compliance (ICC, IBC, Nigerian Code, British Code, etc.)
  • Early stage project feasibility, master/site planning inputs, project analytics, funding structure, hard/soft cost analysis, material sourcing, and related responsibilities.
  • Risk assessments and mitigation.
  • Interfacing with project clients as necessary.
  • Interfacing with funding sources as necessary for capital funding.

 

New Project Development:

 

  • Assist in identifying, assessing and securing new greenfield project transactions, site acquisitions and brownfield project acquisition/redevelopment transactions.
  • Perform related analytics and feasibility analysis in association with other team leaders.
  • Assist in developing associated documentation and presentation for funding partners.

 

Project Tenants/Pre-Letting:

  • Interface with potential project tenants as necessary to secure pre-let agreements.

 

Project & Market Diversification:

 

  • Add depth to corporate resources to secure and develop new projects and markets leveraging my experience. Such experience may include commercial, retail, high-rise multi-family, institutional and medical projects, hospitality, corporate luxury western single family and garden style developments, mixed-use, micro-cities, master planned developments, retail financial and niche governmental projects.

 

Legal/Risk Mitigation:

 

  • Assist and support project legal documents, instruments and agreements, and negotiations.
  • Provide support and assistance to identify, evaluate and quantify risk and risk mitigation for new projects.

 

Capital Funding:

 

  • Support and assist in securing new project and corporate capital with international investors. Assist in meetings, proposals, deal decks, etc. as necessary to secure the confidence to secure both equity and debt capital as may be required.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required with preference given to construction management, structural/civil engineering, building construction or architecture
  • Post graduate degree required with preference given to construction management, structural/civil engineering, building construction or architecture
  • Experience in construction management, project management; with preference given to commercial and/or residential multifamily developments
  • 15+ years related experience in construction.
  • Track record of proven techniques and practices of project management and construction supervision over various aspects of design and construction phases for relevant projects.
  • Successful start to end completion of large scale project.
  • Must be able to read and interpret plans, specifications, BOQs.
  • Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Background in reviewing architectural and engineering drawings to ensure specifications and regulations are followed is preferred.
  • Must be able to manage budgets, timelines and construction schedules with an extreme attention to detail, and grade a quality
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees and management
  • Must possess good business judgment; an understanding of legal issues and contracts
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, residents, and the general public.

We’re looking for a creative, multi-faceted, self-motivated, and well-organized Project Architect to join the growing team at our company. The candidate will work closely with the Construction, coordinate with outside consultants/administrators to review drawings, and generally will be responsible for the day-to-day handling of the company’s architectural drawings and readings. The candidate will be responsible for creating and monitoring architectural designs from conception to construction to meet client’s specifications, and act as an intermediary between the client and the Construction Team.

 

The candidate will also be responsible for all phases of the architectural process on a Project, He/she must apply a sound architectural / or design technique methodologies and principles to Project Approaches.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for leading and managing projects from concept design stage, through development of design and all necessary stages or applications for statutory approvals, production information, specifications, tender process, including carrying out inspections of projects on site,
    • Drawing and presentational skills in tasks reflecting all stages of design and construction Works
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic office setting, contributing to all phases of planning, design, construction administration and staff mentoring.
  • Collaborate in the development of designs using hand sketching, AutoCAD, Revit, and other software.
  • Guide team to develop high quality construction bid documents
  • Review building codes and standards to evaluate design compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts on capital raising and restructuring activities
